Art – Painting & Drawing – Still Life How will this course help me? You will gain confidence, knowledge & skills to create a still life composition. Who is the course for? This course is for you if you want to learn, develop or maintain a lively interest in painting & drawing still life compositions. What can I expect to learn? Explore the technical skills of producing a still life Explore the works of well know still life artists Create & complete a practical still life project. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. If you think that you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the centre staff. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. Your tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? You will need paper (this may be purchased from the centre) brushes & paint. There is a limited amount of resources at the centre for the first session but please bring any art materials you may have. Your tutor will advise you on future purchases at the first session. Will there be any other costs? (e.g. materials, books, registration with a professional body, etc.) You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. Learners will be responsible for providing their own resources.
