This course is an introduction to Spanish in key functional areas including: greeting; provide personal information, age, nationality, marital status etc, ordering food and drink, following directions, travel on trains, buses, booking a hotel room, shopping and some basic grammar including the present tense. By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following; • Understand and use present tenses. • Describe yourself, family and personal information. • Improve understanding of Spanish culture. • Understand and use key functional Spanish as described above. • Grammar basics. Your Tutor: Bernard lived in Barcelona and Pamplona, Spain for 9 years and learned to speak Spanish there. He is a qualified teacher and has been teaching Spanish to adults since returning from Spain in 2007.
