This two session course is an ideal complement to existing Clothesmaking courses, and is designed to enable you to get the most out of using an overlocker and achieve a professional finish to your garments. You will learn the correct way to thread up the machine and how to adjust the tension. You will sample various techniques including roll hemming, gathering and mock flat-locking.

You will need to bring along your own Basic Sewing Kit to include dressmaking pins, needles, a tape measure and fabric cutting out scissors. Please do not bring your own overlocker machine, as we cannot accommodate them for Health & Safety reasons. You will be using a domestic Bernina overlocker, which functions in a very similar way to other makes of machine.
