Hatmaking - winter weight felt hat

You will learn a range of both traditional and modern hatmaking techniques, and create a personalised winter weight hat design. You will be shown how to use a pattern, how to block, how to use specialist fabrics, resources and equipment and decorative techniques for creating an original design.

Entry requirements

You will require a felt hood or capeline , which costs approx. £10 +VAT- plus any additional trimmings you may choose to use on your design. You will be contacted in advance of the course starting with information on where to buy your felt- and you will need to bring this to the first session. Please do not purchase anything until you receive this information. The course fee includes a basic materials charge of £8 for other construction materials and sundries.
