Using ICT - entry level 1

This is a 35 week course in the Supported Learning Curriculum for Adults with Learning Difficulties. Learners need to have some basic level of literacy or numeracy skills and be able to recall information who wish to learn how to use a computer. You will learn how to turn on a computer & log on. To control a mouse and navigate the screen. To navigate to print a page. To navigate between windows. To create and save files in folders on USB stick. To high light, cut or copy and paste using the right click on the mouse. To demonstrate how to open and print a document. To log on to the course Moodle page. To use the messenger application. To type a short passage about an activity you have done. To use technology to interact with others.

There will be an initial assessment and formative on-going assessment. Weekly and regular feedback from the tutor and review of your individual learning plan. Entry requirements
