Literature: Modernist High Noon - British Writing 1910-1935

This era was the most recent 'age of giants' in British writing - when writers wanted above all to challenge both readers and the prevailing culture. We explore the emergence of 'stream of consciousness' writing in the novel, and in poetry and drama the sense of the demonic, arguably the legacy of the Great War.
