Writers of The Fowey

UPDATED 20160822 12:25:10

Enjoy a feast of literature from the Fowey valley. We will explore what has attracted a range of writers to this area over time, and how it has inspired their work. We will study the work of some of these writers in detail eg Daphne du Maurier, 'Q' and Kenneth Grahame. We will also discuss a range of literary responses to the Fowey valley, including poetry, the short story and the novel, considering how our own responses to this landscape may be coloured by literary influences.
