During the course you will learn about child and young person development; Portfolio building and study skills. You will need to arrange your school placement in order to complete the course. The WEA will arrange for your Disclosure & Barring Application (previously CRB). You will be assessed and supported by a learner centred tutor throughout the course to help you achieve the level needed to access the certificate course. You will be asked to write a diary of your placement experience. You will receive help to do this from your tutor.
