History: The Arts and Crafts Movement

In the nineteenth century a number of artists began to explore the idea of combining the traditional fine arts of painting, sculpture and architecture with the applied or decorative arts. This course will cover the work of William Morris and explore the diverse range of practice by a number of individuals and societies associated with his ideas in the late nineteenth century.
