The British Raj 1858-1950

India under the British Raj was an important time. We will examine life under the Raj for Indians. The growth of Indian nationalism will be an important component. This will include looking at Gandhi, Jinnah and Nehru as they pursued their different aims for India. India's role in both of the World Wars will also be part of the course.
