1945-60 Austerity Britain

Austerity Britain and the changes to peoples lives were momentous. The East Midlands economy changed,Raleigh, Boots and Coal Mining during the 1950s will feature. Key national events such as Suez, General elections, Cold War and Korea will be studied. Cultural movements will be examined. The place of Britain in the post war period will remain at the heart of the course.
