Talking literature: Jane Eyre's successors

UPDATED 20160822 12:20:46

Jane Eyre was a strong-minded woman struggling against poverty and prejudice to make a meaningful life. In the selected novels, written after its publication, we will study what has changed, and what has not changed, in the lives of women and how they are depicted by authors. We will also consider the extent of the influence of Charlotte Bronte's novel.
