UPDATED 20160822 12:20:26

This courses traces ancient Egypt from the empire of Ramesses II through the decline, tomb robbery and division of the Third Intermediate Period to reunification under the Nubian Pharaohs.  The resulting Late Period is a time of cultural renaissance with monumental tomb building and art that looks back to the Old Kingdom, but it is also an era of external threats and fusion with the outside world
