Literature: Fiction and Poetry

we will explore the themes, style and structure of literary works that consider rites of passage, clashes between opposing attitudes and values, and problems of love vocation and identity. We will discuss short stories by Chekhov, James Joyce, Elizabeth Bowen, Alice Munro, and Clare Keegan, and Poems by Thomas Hardy, Philip Larkin, Ted Hughes and Seamus Heaney.
