Art Appreciation: The Italian Renaissance Courts - Art and Patronage

The princely dynasties of Italy, from Milan to Naples, Mantua to Urbino, used art as manifestation of their prestige, their aspirations and their rule. We shall examine the ways in which artists such as Leonardo and Pisanello, Mantegna and Piero della Francesca helped shaping the identity of some of the Renaissance most glittering courts.
