London's smaller art galleries offer a wealth of hidden treasures to be discovered. This course aims to explore the origins, development, aims and present day collections of some of them: from the Impressionist masterpieces of the Courtauld Gallery to the Old Masters of Dulwich Picture Gallery; from Italian modern art of the Estorick Collection to the Pre-Raphaelite paintings of Guildhall Art Gallery.
