Foundation in Engineering

This course is perfect for those who might not have much experience within engineering but would like to take their fist step in the industry. The course will provide you with the opportunity to learn a variety of engineering practices such as bench fitting, mechanical maintenance, fitting, welding and machining which form the foundation of engineering practices. The one year, full time course comprises of a combination of theory work and practical sessions in the Engineering workshops in the main College and in the state of the art Construction Skills Centre. Maths and English will be at the core of your studies, both of which are essential if you wish to pursue a career in the industry. This is an ideal course for those who enjoy working with their hands and are looking to take their first steps in a career in Engineering.
