UPDATED 20160816 12:59:06

Are you wanting to work in schools supporting children and young people to learn? Maybe you are a volunteer in school at the moment and want to know how to gain a qualification to enable you to apply for paid work in schools? This introductory course will inform you about taking the STLS level 2 certificate and how to collect evidence to build your portfolio. You will also take part in some initial assessment tasks to find out what you already know; this helps us to ensure that you are able to make the most of your learning with us. Whilst you do not need to have a placement in school to attend this course you will find out the requirements for placement work and DBS checks should you decide to progress. We will explain to you how to find placement work.
