Its content supplements all other AS level subjects through the areas of science and technology, the social sciences and the arts. The emphasis is not on the learning of new information, but the developing of skills to successfully utilise knowledge and understanding. General Studies is a subject that allows students to apreciate important issues within society. By the end of the course, students should have formed insightful views and opinions allowing them to be an active citizen in the local and global community.
