The content of the course includes:Basic knowledge of the following:- personal information (e.g. nationality family occupation)- eating and drinking (e.g. ordering food and drinks in cafés and restaurants)- shopping and services (e.g. post office hotel booking directions travelling) Learn how to learn. The course also includes study skills: Study skills are learning strategies that will help you to organise process and use information effectively. This course is designed to help you not just with what you learn but also with how you learn it.This course includes the following strategies:-Preparing to learn (skills that would prepare you to learn: tools priorities goals attitudes…)- Acquiring Processing and Retaining Information (discover and explore learning styles that work best for you)- Applying Learning: You will demonstrate and apply what you have learned in very brief written tasks like writing a shopping list oral presentations and tests. You will be able to demonstrate both understanding of the material being covered how to take tests.- Monitoring and Evaluating: Discover and explore strategies to evaluate yourself and to set your next goals and objectives.Although language orientated this course will help you to undertake other future studies in any other subjects. It will also help improve key skills that are useful in a work environment.
