Travel and Tourism (Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma)

This course provides a specialist, work-related programme of study that covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the travel and tourism sector. It is equivalent to two A Levels, which means that when you have finished the course you can either choose to get a job straight away or progress into higher education. The travel and tourism industry offers good promotion prospects and many people progress from operational jobs to supervisory and management positions. The course is taught by experienced professionals who have worked in the aviation, tourism and hospitality industry. Entry requirements

As part of your course you will need to take part in regular trips to local tourist destinations. In your first year you will attend a residential in the UK or Europe (cost approx. £250-£350). In your second year you may visit The Gambia for two weeks (cost approx. £700) to undertake work experience and other projects. These costs include travel, accommodation, activities and some meals.
