Sport: Development, Coaching and Fitness (Level 3 Diploma)

This 2 year full-time course is designed for you if you are are motivated to gain employment in the sports industry. It combines academic and practical study in a broad spectrum of disciplines in sport that will help learners achieve their goals. This is an excellent course for individuals wanting to progress onto further study or alternatively pursue a career in Sport Performance, Coaching or Development. There are excellent opportunities within the course to gain experience in a range of roles at local, national and international sporting events as an athlete or volunteer and to pick up a whole range of additional relevant coaching awards that will enable you to gain part-time employment opportunities whilst still Year 1 of the course is completing the Subsidiary Diploma and year 2 is completing the National Diploma. Subjects include: Anatomy and Physiology; Physiology of Sport; Assessing Risk in Sport; Nutrition; Sport Development; Fitness Testing; Practical Team Sport; Sport Events; Practical Individual Sport; Sport Psychology; Fitness Training.
