Aviation Operations (Level 2)

This qualifications will allow you to prove your skills working in an airport - whether at the departure gate or in the terminal. You will build on your communications and operational skills and show you have the underlying knowledge needed for your particular role. The course is practical and includes role play and work in our mock up cabin. The Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Environment will introduce you to the many job roles available within an airport. It will give you the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to enter into a variety of ground handling roles including Passenger Services (check-in and boarding), Dispatch or Baggage and Ramp services. The course is taught by experienced professionals who have worked in the aviation industry. You will cover units including: Recognising Air Side Hazards; Effective Communications and Transfer; Check in Aviation Passengers; Handling Reports of Lost or Stolen Luggage; Marshall Aircraft; Provide Ticket Desk Services; Operate a Vehicle Air-side; Health Safety and Security; Functional Skills in English and Maths.

Entry requirements

There will be a cost for the UK or European-based residential and day trips (approx. £200 for UK or £350 for Europe). You must wear uniform and purchase a white shirt and black trousers/ skirt and the college aviation scarf or tie costing approximately £8.
