Advanced Apprenticeship in Classic Vehicle Restoration (Level 3)

The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today's classic vehicle restoration industry. It provides the technical knowledge for people working on classic vehicles in all types of vehicle restoration repair facilities. You will study both the theory and practical aspects of the following: History and Heritage of Classic Vehicles; Tools, Equipment and Materials; Understanding Customer Expectations and Needs; Dismantling, Measuring and Recording; Diagnosing and Repairing Vehicle Engine, Driveline, Electrical and Chassis Systems; Evaluating and Repairing Structual Body Defects and Misalignment; Advanced Thermal Joining and Filling Techniques; Rectification of Corrosion/Major Paint Defects and Paint Refinishing; Repair and Replacement of Interior and Exterior Glass, Wood and Trim; Health and Safety and Good Housekeeping; English and maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects help you develop confidence and are key employability skills that recruiting employers look for. If you have not achieved GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths you will need to continue studying these subjects. We will ensure you have the right lessons and support to improve your English and maths.
