Chinese, a language spoken by nearly one third of the worlds population, will become the business and economic language of the world in the next ten years.By studying Chinese you will become familiar with the fascinating culture and language of this historic and diverse country.The knowledge and understanding of Chinese language and culture will be of great value in employment or Higher Education. The GCSE Chinese qualification counts towards EBACC points which is recognised by the Russell Group of Universities.On the GCSE course you will develop your writing, speaking, reading and listening skills by studying a wide range of topics that will enable you to have successful initial communication when visiting China on either business or pleasure. These topics are involved with varieties of everyday activities such as: shopping for food and clothes, making travel arrangements and employment.
