The course is mainly practical and consists of 12 units, covering: health and safety, engineering equipment and materials, lubrication systems, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust, ignition systems, electrical systems, braking systems, transmission systems, steering and suspensions, wheels and tyres, vehicle power units. The course involves practical work and theory. You will also complete job cards on work carried out to add to the evidence recorded in your portfolio.
