This subject offers students the opportunity to study the world around them, engaging in topics which influence their everyday life. Sociology is an excellent choice to partner a number of other A-Levels but also stands alone as a credible and popular subject to be taken at university. At AS-Level you will study two units:-Families and households: Marriage and divorce rates, changes in the size and nature of families- Education: Issues which can affect student achievement At A2-Level you will study:- Crime and deviance: Crime rates and statistics and what they tell us And either:- Sociology of beliefs or- The mass media and sociology
