An opportunity to draw and paint the human form from the nude model, using tone and line to explore structure and mass, in any medium. This is a course for all abilities. It is suitable both for those new to the subject area, or drawing in general who want to gain confidence, as well as those who want to shake their practice up, come out of their comfort zones and double check the fundamentals. To develop competence in depicting the human form through tone, line and colour. This course works from a nude model. - Suggest form using tone, line and colour.- Use creative mark making, colour, tone and line to depict form.

Entry requirements

Please make sure you bring to the first session: - 2B+ Pencil- A few coloured crayons/ or chalks- Pastels- Rubber - putty and plastic- Charcoal - thick and thin- Board clips (bulldog) to hold paper on board- Masking tape- Any other dry materials students may already haveThere are easels, drawing boards and paper provided in the Hall for students to use during class. It would be a good idea to buy yourself an A1 or A2 Cartridge Paper pad to use at home if you want to practice during the course. If you have any queries about which materials to get please email the tutor Michelle at mbn@live.co.ukModel Fee: Please note the model costs are NOT included in the course fee. There will be an extra fee to pay for the model and the tutor will advise the amount to be paid at the first session. This is paid direct to the tutor in cash and will cover the full course. As a guide, the amount will be around 20.00 - 30.00 per student, but the amount will depend on student numbers.
