This course is for the therapist with a level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy who wishes to develop their basic beauty skills into more advanced techniques and treatments, making them very employable in salons, health spas, cruise liners and skin clinics The VTCT Level 3 Extended Diploma in Beauty Therapy is a technical level qualification, aimed at 16-18 year old learners who are in a full-time Level 3 education programme and wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist.This Level 3 course is a progression route for any student who already holds the Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy and who wishes to develop their basic beauty skills into more advanced techniques and treatments, making them highly employable within the beauty industry. The aim of the course is to make you competent and confident in the advanced skills required by salons, which will make you very employable within the beauty therapy sector. You will learn the practical skills of each unit and gain experience in client care. Students will learn how to operate within the health and safety regulations of the industry. You will be working on fee paying clients very quickly to gain good communication skills, outstanding client care and customer service. Students will gain experience of dealing with all variations of client needs in a professional manner. Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with clients, successfully promote and retail products, provide a range of beauty treatments including Swedish massage, skin and body analysis and electrical science in order to make informed decisions for face and body electrical treatments. Name: VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments Qualification title: Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will be assessed in the classroom which becomes the salon under realistic working conditions, just as if you were in a real salon. The practical and written work is also internally verified by other members of staff as a quality check and then an external verifier from the Awarding Body comes in twice per year to check our systems and procedures. There are continual practical assessments, written assessment questions, internal and external written exams, case studies, and a portfolio of evidence for your practical treatments.
