Achievement of this qualification is by work-based assessment and building a portfolio of evidence. In order to achieve the minimum number of credits (35) you will need to complete the 11 Mandatory Units and some optional units. The mandatory units cover the following areas: Introduction to communication, introduction to equality and inclusion, introduction to personal development, child development, safeguarding the welfare of children, supporting children's health and safety, maintain and support relationships, supporting positive behaviour, supporting positive environments, understanding partnership working in services, maintaining and supporting relationships with children. Plus Optional Units to be taken and discussed with Tutor.
