To develop linguistic skills and the capacity for critical thinking based on knowledge and understanding of the language, culture, history and society in the countries and communities where French is spoken. By the end of the programme, students will have both the linguistic and cultural understanding required to be able to competently and compassionately communicate with speakers of French. As well as communication, students will have the opportunity to enhance other transferrable skills such as autonomy, research, resourcefulness and creativity.
