This one year, full-time programme is for people with Level 1 English who want to progress on to BTECs or GCSEs. This course combines English language with science and maths.

We will assess your work with the National Basic Skills' Standards and the Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Applied Science unit specifications. You will have to produce a portfolio of your work, which will be regularly marked throughout the year by your teacher and checked by the Internal Verifier. At the end of the year you will take a Functional Skills / GCSE maths exam and Cambridge ESOL level 1 exams.
