Students joining this BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma Sport partnership programme will benefit from an elite standard of professional basketball coaching delivered by one of the few professional basketball teams in London, the London Lions. The London Lions' players and coaching staff will be involved in league and cup competitions. The BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma Sport Course is a 1 year full-time course for learners wanting to progress into a sport-related career or progress into Higher Education. The course is designed to reflect both practical and theoretical aspects of sport across a range of disciplines. Modules covered include the Principles of Anatomy and Physiology, Fitness Testing and Training, Sports Nutrition, Sports Coaching and Analysis of Sports Performance, Technical Skills and Tactical Awareness, Practical Team Sports, Assessing Risk in Sport.
