The hairdressing industry is a diverse and varied career which can lead to challenging rewarding job opportunities; whether this is in top leading salons; session stylists working back stage for catwalks and fashion shows around the world or travelling the globe aboard cruise liners. Gaining a Level 3 Hairdressing qualification can lead you to more career opportunities; promotion and the skills to offer extended hair dressing services. This course will give you the opportunity to develop and update your technical skills including advance cutting; colour correction and working on long hair up creations. The necessary skills for this qualification will be learnt through a variety of situations; in a commercial salon and in theory lessons. It is a practical course; which is underpinned by a theory. Within the course structure there are four areas of assessment. These are: practical observation; assignments/case studies and on-line exams. As part of your program you will be required to complete essential homework for assignments; as well as practicing your vocational skills in your own time. Students will need to pass all four areas of assessment. On completion; all assessments will be retained in a portfolio and used as evidence to show an external examiner.
