This is the second year of a two-year programme for learners undertaking the BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care (QCF). During this academic year; learners will study units that are conducive to a variety of career pathways including nursing and midwifery; learners often take a different pathway and some of our former learners have progressed to higher education in subjects including criminology; psychology and other related professions. Those on this programme will already have enrolled onto the Subsidiary Diploma for their first year of study; progressing to this second year. As part of the whole programme; there is a mandatory requirement that all students will undertake a period of work placement experience in which they can gain valuable experience implementing the knowledge learned in the classroom.

Students should provide a lever arch folder with dividers to keep their work and provide pens, paper and other writing materials. Memory sticks can be purchased from the College for students to store their work. WiFi is available across the College for those using laptops.
