CACHE Award in an Introduction to Early Years Settings (QCF) (Level 1)

This course will be for approx 10 weeks; 2 hours a week on Thurdays 13.00-15.00. It is aimed mainly at learners who need a basic introduction; this will give them a basic understanding of the professional language used in Early Years settings together with an overview of pre-school practice. The course is delivered with theory and practical sessions. There will be minimal home study. Applications and enquiries are welcome from those who would like to work in the sector and need to develop their skills to do so

Entry requirements

Students are expected to bring writing materials for the course. There are a number of items that can be purchased from the College Shop including earphones, USB memory sticks, and various items of stationery. We also have some limited supplies of used folders in good condition that can be used for your work. These are free of charge and offered on a first come first serve basis.
