The BTEC Diploma in Construction is a two year part time attended qualification that is designed to meet the needs of adult learners who are either working in the construction industry or are considering a career change. Attendance is one day/week over 34 weeks/year. The course offers candidates three construction pathways: Construction; Civil Engineering and Building Services Engineering. All three pathways entail studying six units over the first year; four units are generic to all pathways whilst the remaining two units are specific to the candidates’ pathway chosen. The second year of study consists of a further six units all of which are subject specific to the pathway chosen.
