What is a Traineeship? A Traineeship is an education and learning programme for young people aged 16-24 that is focused of providing you with the skills and experience that employers are looking for. You will work with an employer gaining valuable and genuine work experience and the opportunity to improve your maths, English and work preparation skills. A Traineeship can last from 6 weeks to 6 months with flexible hours depending on your individual needs and situation. If, during your Traineeship you are offered an Apprenticeship or find employment the team will work with you to ensure you quickly and successfully transfer into your chosen option. If you are focused on an Apprenticeship or looking for other full time employment, need support with work experience, maths, English and work preparation a traineeship is right for you' You can start a traineeship if you are; Working less than 16 hours a week and have little work experience Aged 16 - 24 and qualified below Level 3 Note: you can start a Traineeship up to the day before your 25th birthday Motivated to work, attend the taught sessions and willing to gain the experience Committed to completing the programmes and progressing into an Apprenticeship or other employment Willing to give 100% effort at all times You can apply at any time but to start a traineeship you need to find a work experience placement.
