This workshop is suitable for learners who would like to pursue a career in Health and Social Care. You will find out what Health and Social Care is about and the training options available. The workshop will cover the following: Information about Health and Social Care - what skills you need to progress in this career route & what attitudes and behaviours employers are looking for Information about Traineeships or Apprenticeships we offer Assess your own skills and character to see if Health and Social Care is the right career for you Knowledge of where Health and Social Care can take you (for instance what jobs this qualification could lead to such as further training in Social Work) Progression routes from L1 - L3 (for instance studying at degree level) Explore volunteering and the local job market in this area Carry out an initial assessment which will be passed on to the Health and Social Care tutor or apprenticeship team Possible referral to traineeship coordinator Functional skills (maths and English) initial assessment
