LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN SPECIALIST SUPPORT FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SCHOOLS This qualification contains both knowledge and competency based units. It is suitable for those who have some experience of supporting learning within the classroom and are actively involved with assessment of learning and those who have already achieved a Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification at level 2. Learners are required to have at least 16 hour paid employment within a school classroom. Learners must achieve 44 credits in total from a combination of mandatory and optional units. The mandatory units cover general aspects of school and classroom support, learners can then choose specific optional units that match their particular work role or school environment.
