This course may also be useful for those seeking employment. By the end of the course you will be able to: Define the principles of first aid and prevention of cross infectionAssess and treat an unresponsive breathing casualtyAssess and treat an unresponsive non breathing casualtyRecognise and treat shock, fainting & chokingManage and treat a casualty with severe bleedingEffectively treat a burn/scald A good grasp of English and maths will be required to achieve the certificate. You must be physically able to perform practical tasks such as recovery position and CPR. You should wear appropriate clothing for Recovery Position. text17 You will receive a Level 2 certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work, which is valid for three years.
