Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour. You will look at different explanations for the way in which humans (and non-humans) behave. You will also spend time analysing evidence and theories and comparing research in order to be able to reach conclusions about a variety of topics including mental illness and relationships. You'll look at how ideas and theories in each area of Psychology have developed, learn how to critically analyse evidence, and undertake some practical research. During your studies, you will have the chance to visit university psychology faculties, outside speakers will also visit the College to offer insight into particular areas of the subject. Psychology is an excellent basis for further study in the area of Psychology, or as a useful tool in many areas of study and employment including the Police, Nursing or Business Management.
