Zumba is a Latin inspired dance fitness workout. This fun and energetic class will have participants burning approximately 400-1000 calories per session based on their fitness level. Its format is 'intermittent training', which is a combination of fast and slow rhythms. The dance routines help to tone the body and are a great cardio workout with only moderate impact. Bring a bottle of water, a towel and make sure to wear comfortable cushion soled shoes. Dancing shoes or jazz shoes (with split soles) are the best. These will enable the feet to move side to side and rotate on the floor. Most of all bring your voice, bring your spirit and bring your energy. It's going to be a blast!
