This qualification is aimed at people interested in working in childcare. Topics include: communication, the role of the child care worker, health and safety, safeguarding and child development. As this course requires a good level of English, you will undertake an assessment during the first class to confirm your place. After successfully completing this course, you could progress on to the Children and Young People's Workforce Level 2 Certificate. However, you will need to have recently completed a minimum of 140 hours of work experience and then maintain a minimum of 14 hours a week during the course.
