You will study Level 3 modules in Human Physiology and either Sociology or Psychology.The Access to Higher Education diploma aims to build confidence, develop study and written skills and offer you the opportunity to improve your maths and English.This is a one year course. You will study the mandatory modules and receive tutorial support. This will mean attending the College for approximately 14.5 hours per week and depending on your unit choice, this may spread over the full week. You will also need to be prepared to study for a further 15-20 hours in your personal time.Depending on your Access course, with further study or training, your future career options include:Bio-medical science, Computer Programming, Counselling, Midwifery, Nursing (child, adult & mental health), Occupational Therapy, Operating Department Practitioner, Psychology, Radiography, Social Work, Sociology, Speech Therapy, Teaching, Working with vulnerable children & adults, Marketing, Business or Humanities. If you are aged 19 or over then you may be able to apply for a 19+ Advanced Learner Loan.
