F470 - This is a one year course designed to introduce learners to the world of fashion. To provide an opportunity for learners who have commitment and enthusiasm to explore and develop a range of fashion skills. This course is accredited by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body Provides an opportunity to explore your interest in fashion using various materials, methods and processes that support many fashion based art and design activities to include: - Drawing - Pattern & Texture - Pattern Cutting - Garment Construction - Colour work - Exploration of ideas - Design - Textiles - Styling The course consists of 9 units and delivered through a range of projects. Students will have the opportunity to utilise current industry standard skills and techniques Students can progress to the Level 3 Diploma in fashion and from there into employment or Higher Education Opportunities exist to enter the Creative Industries at a Junior Level but further study would be recommended to achieve employment in many job roles including product designer, artistic director, graphic designer, photographer and fashion technologist.
