This is a one year course that develops skills in the field of accountancy, payroll and finance. It offers students the opportunity to gain the skills demanded by employer while achieving a national recognised qualification. The programme of study is made up of two qualifications. The Accounting and Payroll qualification is awarded by AAT, Association of Accounting Technicians. It is a Level 2 qualification. This introductory level is where you'll get to develop your skills in finance administration: double-entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles, computerised accounting and payroll. The finance qualification is awarded by IFS, Institute of Financial Services. This Level 3 qualification develops knowledge and understanding of the financial services sector and enhances skills that are valued within that sector and others. It develops the knowledge and skills required for young people to make informed financial decisions by introducing them to the risks and challenges involved in personal finance and to tools for effective planning.
