On this course you will start to build the practical skills and knowledge that you need to start a career in the Hair and Beauty industry. Ensure own actions reduce risk to health and safety. Contribute to the development of effective working relationships. Prepare for and maintain the beauty therapy work area. Assist with facial treatments / carry out express facials. Assist with nail treatments on the hands and feet / carry out express manicures/pedicures. The Government requires that all students studying programmes take separate Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English. On completion of the programme you may wish to progress to Level 2 Beauty Therapy, Level 2 Nail Services, Level 2 Foundation Modern Apprenticeship or Level 2 Hairdressing.
