If you are considering a career in events planning and management, including conferences, music festivals, weddings and sporting events, then this is the course for you. It provides you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge of the industry and the principles of event planning and gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the business sector. The programme delivers the underpinning knowledge and enables you to develop practical skills in event planning and business. It also promotes skills in team working, communication, planning and organisation and time management. You will also undertake English and maths as necessary. This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to work successfully in the events planning and business and commercial sector and/or to progress onto a Level 3 course. You will study a range of event planning and business units including: Planning an event; Event review and evaluation; Enterprise; Marketing; Visual merchandising; Human Resource planning at events; Communication and Customer Service at events. The course will prepare you for progression into further study at Level 3 or into an apprenticeship or employment.
