This course will prepare you for LV0 to higher education in information technology fields, and provides you with the essential knowledge, understanding and skills required to progress into a number of specific areas of work. By taking this course you will be able to move into a more responsible job role as a programmer/app developer, website designer, database designer/manager or systems analyst. The course will cover main modules including: Project Planning in Information Technology; Website Production; Information Technology Technical Support; Software Installation; Database; Digital Graphics; Impact of Information Technology; Developing Computer Games; and Human-Computer Interaction. Students learn through a mix of workshops, written assignments, formal teaching and self-study. If you have not already gained a C grade for GCSE English and GCSE Mathematics, working towards this will form part of your programme of study.
